Might be pretty obvious to those that know me on here, but I quite like taking photos
Can't say I'm that great at it but I love it anyway, mostly I enjoy taking pics of those around me and I have also been known to take photos of complete strangers by simply saying "may I?"
But I also like to take pics of 'whatever' and than playing around with them....mind you on a very basic level (have to start working out photoshop ) and sometimes it may be just a tiny bit obvious I have a man whose pretty clever and likes to play with my photos...among other things.
So here are some just for the hell of it, hoping others who like taking the odd snappy might add their's to this blog as well. Makes a good spot to put ones that aren't of yourself or other...if you can work it out!!

Do I enjoy taking photos of myself....?
Not as much as I enjoy taking them of objects (usually nature orientated), scenes or of people who mean something to me; though this isn't always the case... to be honest I find it an interesting journey into the self.... Why do we feel the need to be captured in time (I know, I know many out there have no desire to be captured at all and that gets me thinking too...they are the folks I most enjoy photographing), is it the fact we know we will die or can it have something to do with the here and now, the thought that I can control how the world sees me (seen through playing with the photo myself as well as showing the exact photo I wish you to see) and how this amazingly, can mostly be an incorrect perception..........
Home is where freedom resides....... love...safety...contentment.... BUT still retaining that balance of excitement
A blind reflection
....I do this for the fun of it because I enjoy photography and feel I'm not completely crap at it...as well as it's always nice to see a persons face when you have taken an unreal shot of them.
I think also that it helps take me outside of myself as does reading
Even better is the fact I am with a person who also has a very creative side, much more so than me (never thought I'd actually think of myself as creative , but I guess with this I am) and he enjoys mucking around creatively as well, it is nice team work.
I have a strong desire to get into the nitty gritty of the workings of a well done photo...I'm a bit slow and I think I go by feel and correct things elsewhere but I'm hoping that through a lot of patience I can work it out, so it's no longer a thinking process but an immediate response to what I need to do right there and than.
Bit like Fox36's photo (in a previous photo comp)...NOW there is a woman I would like to have as a subject ;)
I am a good person to have as a friend to have a laugh with, to prop you up (to the best of my ability when the world is turning on its' head) to listen to you and to have on your side....
I like to surround myself with people who are honest, real with intelligence be it emotional, street smarts or just a brainiac .... If you pursue joy and happiness (but not at the expense of others) if you show people you care and are interested in them, if you can let go of the past as a finished picture (learnt lessons and all) and if you can have a chuckle at yourself (this is so important) than I will want to know you.
On the other hand this makes me sound like a fair weather friend which I'm not, was getting tired of attracting people who need/want something from me so I guess I have become slightly more realistic towards my own needs.
How else do we get by without making this life harder than it needs to be.
