Blonde, Don't be disheartened by some of the comments that could be deemed "negative". You know what you want, and thats what counts. Always keep an open mind though and try to see if you can find some positives in what "advice" people have to offer.... even if their delivery is somewhat ..... errr....blunt. I think MOST people know what you meant, you just want someone to care enough for you to make you feel safe.... rather than someone who wants only one thing and couldnt give a stuff about anything else. Someone who will stand up for you if someone is putting you down... someone who will defend ou if some sleazeball tries hitting on you....etc etc etc.... Nothing wrong with that, i think its a pretty common attribute that women would like from a man. I guess if you wanted a dog you'd be looking at pet shops, not dating sites.

There's nothing wrong with wanting to feel safe. The world is becoming frighteningly more and more messed up. Unfortunately there's more and more "wierdo's" out there, which makes your search more difficult. However, there are still plenty of decent people in the world, so keep the faith, you'll find one right for you.

You don't need a man to feel protected. Get yourself a dog, they're alot more protective and loyal than any man will ever be.

Dated a few weirdos in my time. I like to feel that A guy would protect me if needs be, in any sense really. as independent as i am i like that feeling. Does that make sense???
