A BELOVED PET

Shyzie, I am totally with you... 2 1/2 wks ago, our 8yr Corgi 'Storm' who had been missing for 3 days came home, she did not seem ok & after a vet visit, we found through an x-ray that she had been hit by a car.. The driver did nothing, with the delay of our dog 'Storm' finding her way home, infection & dehydration had set in & minimal chance of surviving surgery & she was in much pain - We had to have her put to sleep.. The lady who cremated her, gave us a copy of the Rainbow Bridge.. It is very special isn't it.. I now have 'Storm's' paw print & name in Welsh tattooed on my foot.. As well as venting on Facebook at careless & ignorant drivers. Big impact on my children, so my heart goes out to you Shyzie... xxxx

The worst day of my life was when I lost my best friend and I still miss her 4 years on. We have other dogs now and we love them but they will never be that "special " one.

Shyzie sorry to hear of your loss darl. It is heart breaking when you loose your much loved pets. I have had a few in my time too and all I can say is you have done the kind thing for your dog!!! (((hug)))

I think that time is coming closer for me now.
My best mate is just not himself.
I hope not, as he has stood by me thru everything and its gonna be a sad day if it is.

Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigour, those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.
