inside my head thoughts and ramblings
for me music sets a mood or defines a mood many of my meromies are recalled by a tune or a favourite peice of music .
if I want to get myself pumped up for night out or just some classic drinking tunes then its the pogues or the clash .
depressed or feeling shit its the doors or bob dylan sometimes even joy division or the gun club .
I am not saying i have a sound track to my life as such but music along with the visual and sometimes even the smell of perfume or similar will trigger a memory some pleasent some not .
life would be completely boring with out music ,although i do not count hip hop ,rap or beat box as music
the spoken word wether put to music or said in a ryhme is more akin to poetry than music ,beatbox has more in common with eskimo throat singing than actual music and hip hop is about as interesting as disco .....in other words not worth much
I can and do listen to all types of music from classical to country and western and everything in between '
the rooling stones paint it black and bob dylans highway 61 have more to say and reflect their time much more than, you cant touch this or m n m s eight mile
johnny cash told a story of his western America at the same time the temptations and the mircles told the story of black america
go forward in time and the ramones and the clash told the story of the disenchanted along with the sex pistols,dead kennedys,the stranglers and so on
which brings me to now no decent alternative music and mainstream music as boring as hell .
so count me old school with the garage bands and punk the positive sounds of the sixties and that mowtown wall of sound pure bliss
