'Fool Me Once, Shame On You, Fool Me Twice, Shame On Me…"

We all know how that old saying goes, but what if you get fooled more than twice?

I'm not sure about the rest of you but I have been fooled more than once… and twice, so who does the shame land now?
There has to be a point where once a relationship has ended, there is no going back as much as you may want to, no matter how much you may care about the other person.

I don't claim to be a relationship expert, a perfect person, or even honestly know where my life is headed.
To be perfectly honest, I don't even know how to write this without thinking about the people I may lose when I publish, hence why I am also checking my emails and drooling over the Jay Jays bargains in said email.

Back to my original point - Where does the so-called 'shame' land?

According to Merriam-Webster, Shame is defined as:
: a feeling of guilt, regret, or sadness that you have because you know you have done something wrong
: ability to feel guilt, regret, or embarrassment
: dishonor or disgrace

This being said - there has to be a part of that phrase that adds in "fool each other three times, then you get what you deserve" - as much as people hate when others tell them that they 'get what they deserve'.

Everyone makes mistakes....sometimes twice....doesn't matter that much does it? If it you think you learnt something, fuck what everyone else says... :)

We all have it in us to change and redirect ourselves when we want, but too often we like our old habits they're known even if they hurt like probing constantly at a sore tooth.

We just have to know when to draw that line and say enough, then we can find a new habit to love.

Hope that makes sense, anything good in the Jay jays catalogue?
