Saying thank you

27 May, 12 - 5 Comments.

Some time ago, I was reading one of those "Top 10 mistakes men make in bed" lists (as we all do from time to time). The one that was a bit curious for me was "saying thank you after sex". I think the reasoning was that it makes sex feel like a chore or a favour for the woman, when sex is as much about her pleasure as it is for the man. Before I read this, I never really gave it much thought and just assumed that if someone did something nice for you, you at least say thank you....it's just manners.

Has anyone else put much thought into this before? Is it really better one way or the other? Would it matter if the genders were reversed?

p.s if a guy said thank you after the deed I would be thinking okidoki, that's the last time I'll be seeing you then
sounds to me like 'end of'......all in context in life what one man thinks, isn't the others crumpet.......ah men are from mars

I have said thank you several times. I even once got paid while I was still in bed. LOL. (Don't worry he owed me some money). We laughed and he said "how did you feel about that?" after he had handed over 100$. He definitely said thank you too. A genuine thank you. It all is about context.

I've never really thought about it myself either. But I don't think I would be offended by being thanked for giving myself to a man. And thinking back, I think I have told a guy how amazing his performance was, but not actually thanked him until he leaves. Then it's more of a "Thankyou for a wonderful time" than for the act itself.
