Music trivia This Thursday !

This month i've decided to run the Music Trivia night on a weeknight, just for a trial run, since most people like to go out on the weekends. I decided to hold it on a Thursday night, because if it runs a bit late then at least people only have Friday to get thru at work. Normally i would have held it on the first Thursday of the month, however, I have prior commitments, so it will have to be the following week.
So, the next game will be held on Thursday the 11th of November at around 8.30 - 8.45pm - NSW time.
I know its a little early for some of you in the west, but if we make it any later then it will be after midnight over here before it finishes, so i'm afraid thats the closest i could think of to common ground.

How the game is played:
I play a tune (click my cam to hear the audio), and the first person to type the name of the SONG and ARTIST/BAND in the one line earns the point. It must be typed on the ONE LINE to score the point. So no use typing "Police".... then after you remember the name of the song type in "Roxxane" after. It must be on one line, like so: Police - Roxanne. Think strategically, if you can remember the band name but not the track name, dont type anything, coz someone on the other team might know the song, but not the band - so if you type, you could give them the info they need.
Boys vs Girls. (boys must use GREEN avatars, GIRLS are PINK) Everyone in chat will need to click on my cam so they can hear my audio.

what did you have in mind for the theme?
how about girl bands virses boy bands, that may bring out the groupies in us and it doesn't depict a certain era in time

Brunswick Heads, NSW, AUI really like the idea, the trouble is there's no way i could think of 50 boy band and girl band hits. The songs have to be fairly main stream, otherwise no bugger will know tham and people won't have a good time. I'll start putting together a playlist, but i doubt i'll come up with that many before the game....maybe next game... will see how i go. Thanks for the suggestion though !
The theme this month is just "Pre-Noughties" as in, songs from before 2000... and will be all genres included. That gives me a huge selection of mainstream songs that most people will have heard to choose from, and as a result of course everyone has more chance of earning points and having fun :)756 Comments - 117 Blog Posts

-ah awesome, first when i read thursday, im thinking this thursday when im "busy" for the first time in a long time lol,. at least its next week, and i got no kids thursdays, so bring it on! It's usually my pizza and drinks night :)
