FF 2.0 Tidbit - Private Photos

07 Aug, 13 - 19 Comments.

Private photo access will be a bit different with FlingFinder 2.0. The sender can allow access right away, so you don't have to reply before seeing private pics.

I think this will address the issue raised by hmm baby in her recent blog post "Why do I like a PUBLIC profile picture?", particularly "Keeping them all private is not going to encourage others to allow access to Their pics just so we can see something of yours."

Also... in 2.0 everyone can have two private albums, and grant access to one or both of them. I expect people will put face pics in one private album, and more intimate pics in the other.

More to come!

Yep, screen shots are just way too easy on phones! So once something is out there, it's out there forever, and you have no control over where or how it's used. They can turn up on other people's profiles, on other sites, in emails....no limits really...

Just on another note to do with ff. Are you going to have something that will stop people, being able to save photographs onto their system?

We could disable right-click through javascript or use CSS to display the image but it's really just a band-aid solution. When you view a pic on the net, you've already downloaded it. It's in the browser cache. Also no way to stop someone taking a screen shot.

The person sending the message chooses what to reveal. They still can't see your private pics unless you reply and give them access.
